I have spoken to him in the past and got the impression from him that only he has the right to enjoy this section of the park. Employing any method he chooses to deter access to well worn trails adjacent to his property.
Furthermore, this landowner is poaching game and firewood from within the park boundary. I searched for and located all the property corners in question in this area of the park and in the process I found at least 3 illegally place deer stands on park property.
This landowner is well known by Natural Resources Police for past illegal activity. Bluffing, at our first encounter, that he was calling DNR about the trail work we are doing, he never called. I now called his bluff and called NRP and reported his poaching of fire wood and deer as well as the booby trap of barbed wire.
